minutesEarl Grey Creme is our best-selling black tea. And for good reason. Earl Grey is combined with cornflowers and vanilla for a rich, creamy finish that is addictive. Imagine Earl Grey combined with a vanilla cupcake. In this recipe, we use this deliciously sweet smelling tea to create a simple syrup for glazing fresh fruit. A simple process that yields complex, amazingly delicious results.
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 Tbl Earl Grey Creme Tea
Instructions
- Bring the water and sugar to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for about 5 mins or until slightly thickened and syrupy. Remove from the heat and add in the tea.
- Allow the syrup to cool until room temp. Strain the simple syrup through a sieve to strain off the tea. Discard the tea leaves. Store in a glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- This simple syrup is fantastic for cocktails. We love it on melon, pears and berries.
