Embrace a mid-century, mod vibe with this classic cocktail – with a green tea twist! Gunpowder Green Tea meets gin in this fun drink. We were a little hesitant about the salted simple syrup, but we were wrong! It makes the drink. Shake this one up for your next cocktail hour.
1/4 cup Gunpowder Green Tea | |
750ml bottle gin | |
1/2 cup Honey | |
1/2 cup hot water | |
1/4 tsp Fleur de Sel | |
1/2 oz lemon juice | |
3 dashes floral bitters |
1. | Directions for the Gunpowder Gin: Combine the Gunpowder Tea and Gin in a large bowl or measuring cup. Allow to steep for 3 hours. Strain off the tea and re-bottle the Gin. The steeped Gin can be stored at room temp like any other spirit. |
2. | Directions for the Salted Honey Simple Syrup: Combine the honey, hot water, and Fleur de Sel. Whisk until the salt is dissolved. Set aside. |
3. | Directions for two cocktails: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 3 oz of the Gunpowder Green Tea infused Gin, 1 oz Salted Honey Simple Syrup, 1 oz lemon juice and 6 dashes floral bitters and shake. Strain into a rocks glass. Serve straight up or on the rocks. |
