Turkey Burgers have a reputation for being dry and flavorless, but we’ve come up with a version that’s anything but. Our Smoked Porcini, Shallot & Mustard Blend delivers the flavor while Pecan Oil adds some healthy moisture to the mix. Load these burgers up with cheese, avocado, onion and tomato. Another way we love to serve these burgers is with our cool, creamy Tzatziki.
1 lb lean ground turkey | |
1 Tbl Smoked Porcini, Shallot & Mustard Blend | |
1 tsp salt | |
2 Tbl Pecan Oil | |
1 shallot, minced | |
1 clove garlic, minced | |
Buns, lettuce, tomato, avocado for serving | |
Tzatziki for serving |
1. | Combine the ground turkey, Smoked Porcini, Shallot & Mustard Blend, shallot, garlic, salt and Pecan Oil. Work through gently then form into four patties. |
2. | If time allows, refrigerate for 30 mins or up to overnight. Bring patties to room temperature before grilling or pan frying. |
3. | Heat the grill or pan to medium-high heat. Drizzle in additional Pecan Oil. Sear the burgers on one side until the burgers are browned. |
4. | Turn the burgers and lower the heat or move the burgers to a cooler section of the grill. Cook until just cooked through - about 8 mins. When pierced the juices should run clear. |
5. | Allow the burgers to rest for about five minutes. Dress and serve. |
