  A Baton Rouge original, Sensation Salad is made with a tangy lemon-garlic dressing and a generous amount of salty cheese, typically Romano or Parmesan. We make the salad with crunchy iceberg or romaine lettuce, and it’s best ice cold.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Zest & juice of 1 lemon

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 tsp Sariette Blend

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup Grated Romano Cheese

  • 8 cups Sliced romaine lettuce

  • Lemon slices, for serving

  • Extra Romano, for serving

Instructions

  • Make the dressing: Process everything except oil in blender for 30 seconds, with blender running add oil until emulsified.
  • Place the lettuce in a large bowl. Add in the dressing and toss to thoroughly coat. Garnish each serving with romano and lettuce slices.
