Feed a crowd with this delicious, full-flavored brisket seasoned to perfection with Brisket Rub. The delectably sweet sauce is made with Black Currant Dark Balsamic. The brisket slow cooks in the oven and slices like a dream. Great for sandwiches piled high with Citrusy Slaw. Or serve it with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Dreamy.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Whisk together the brown sugar, ketchup, Currant Dark Balsamic, water, Worcestershire, mustard, Hungarian Paprika, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Rub the brisket on all sides with the Smoked Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Rub generously with the Brisket Rub.
  • Place in a roasting pan and pour the sauce into the pan. Cover tightly with foil. Bake for 5 hours, checking every hour to check the liquid level. Add water if the sauce is getting too thick. Remove and allow to rest for 30 min.
  • While the brisket is resting, pour the sauce into a saucepan and set over medium heat. Simmer the sauce to reduce it to the consistency of bbq sauce. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper.
  • Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with the sauce.
