Most morning routines include a little caffeine and a protein-filled breakfast. Right? Who are we kidding. Most mornings are rushed, filled with overdue to-do lists and finally dashing off realizing you’re starving. Prep this smoothie the night before right inside the blender carafe and park it in the fridge. We chose Traditional Mexican Vanilla because it’s low alcohol content makes it a good choice for no-cook dishes like this smoothie. Irish Breakfast Tea packs a sturdy caffeine punch. In the morning, pop the carafe on the blender base, blitz and you’ll sip on a protein-packed, caffeinated breakfast that only requires a straw.
1 cup steeped Irish Breakfast Tea, cooled | |
1 banana | |
1 cup milk (we used Almond) | |
1 Tbl protein powder | |
1 tsp Mexican Vanilla | |
Pinch Himalayan Salt | |
2 cups ice |
1. | The night before, steep and cool the Irish Breakfast Tea and pop in the fridge. In a blender carafe, add in the milk, banana and protein powder - store in the fridge. |
2. | In the morning, add the chilled Irish Breakfast Tea and vanilla to the blender carafe. Process until smooth and creamy. |
