Portable, packable and perfectly snackable, these nutrition-packed protein bites feature our Reishi Mocha Mushroom Daily Blend. Known as adaptogens, reishi mushrooms go to work in your body to combat the negative effects of stress on your body. Stress as in “I’m so stressed out” plus stress from our environment and food – specifically nutritionally-void processed and fast food. Whip up a batch of these protein bites, and they’ll be ready and waiting for those stressful, I-just-need-a-snack moments. Powerfully delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats, divided

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1 Tbl Reishi Mocha Mushroom Daily Blend

  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan Salt

  • 1 cup sunflower butter

  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate pieces

  • Cacao Sugar, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, finely chopped almonds, for rolloing

Instructions

  • Using a food processor, pulse half of the oats to make a semi-fine powder. Leave the other half of the oats in the original form to add more texture to the power bites.
  • Mix well. Form into 16 bite-sized balls. Roll them in Cacao Sugar or alternate between powdered sugar, cocoa powder and finely chopped almonds for interest and texture.
  • Refrigerate until firm. If stored in the fridge, consume within 2 weeks. You could also store in the freezer for up to 8 months.
