Lemon, honey, ginger and vodka. They’re just meant to be together. The result? A smooth elixir that’s wonderful iced, but we’ve been known to heat it for a hot toddy. We just love what this fun little cocktail with its fun little name. It’s just the bee’s knees.
2 cups vodka | |
1/3 cup French Lemon Ginger Tea | |
1/4 cup Honey | |
1/4 cup boiling water | |
Pinch Himalayan Salt | |
Lemon | |
cold tonic water |
1. | Steep the vodka and French Lemon Ginger Tea for 6 hours. Strain off leaves and discard. The infused vodka can be stored at room temp like any other spirit in your liquor cabinet. |
2. | Create the salted Honey Simple Syrup by combining the hot water, honey and salt and stirring vigorously. Allow to cool. |
3. | To make the cocktail, fill a shaker with ice. Add in 1 oz infused vodka, 2 oz Salted Honey Simple Syrup, Juice of 1/2 of a large lemon. Shake vigorously and strain into a small cocktail or rocks glass. Top with cold tonic water. Garnish with lemon. |
