Super sophisticated, a French 75 gets a flavor twist from our Earl Grey Creme tea. We infused gin with the tea and used it to shake up this iconic cocktail. Honey simple syrup joins the party to add a sweet surprise.
1 Tbl Earl Grey Creme Tea
1 cup Gin | |
1 Lemon | |
Honey Simple Syrup (recipe in directions)
Bubbly: Champagne, Prosecco or Sparkling Wine |
1. | First, make a few twists of lemon peel. You'll be juicing the lemon later, so it's best to get the twist before cutting the lemon in half. |
2. | Place the Earl Grey Creme Tea in a Drawstring Tea Bag and place in a large measuring cup or bowl and cover with the Gin. Infuse for 1 hour. |
3. | To make the honey simple syrup, combine 1/2 cup Honey with 1/2 cup boiling water. Stir vigorously to combine the honey and water. Allow to cool. |
4. | To make the cocktail, in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz of the Earl Grey Creme infused Gin, 1/2 oz honey simple syrup and an ounce of lemon juice. Shake and pour into a champagne glass and fill 3/4 full. Top with bubbly and garnish with a twist of lemon. |
