1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar | |
1/2 cup water | |
1 Tbl Pickling Spice | |
2 tsp salt | |
2 Tbl sugar | |
1/2 small head red cabbage, thinly sliced |
1. | Bring the vinegar and water to a simmer. Add in the pickling blend, salt and sugar. Stir to dissolve. |
2. | Remove from heat and pour over the cabbage in a bowl or ready-to-store jar. Allow to sit for 30 mins to cool a bit. |
3. | This cabbage is excellent after just 30 mins, and it gets better and better as it sits in the fridge. Store in the fridge for 2 weeks. |
