10.5 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped | |
1/2 cup cocoa powder, sifted | |
2 1/2 stick unsalted butter | |
1/2 tsp Vanilla Bean Salt | |
1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract | |
1 tsp Pure Chocolate Extract | |
6 eggs | |
2/3 cup granulated sugar | |
3 Tbl Dark Chocolate Balsamic | |
Powdered Sugar & Berries for topping |
1. | Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch round cake pan with nonstick spray. Line with parchment. Spray the parchment. |
2. | In a double boiler set over medium heat, melt the chocolate and butter. Set aside to cool slightly. |
3. | Whisk the salt and sifted cocoa powder into the melted chocolate until well combined. Whisk in the balsamic and extracts. . |
4. | In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together until fluffy and lightened in color. Fold this mixture into the chocolate. |
5. | Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan. |
6. | Chill for 4 hours to completely set the cake. |
