Big hot cocoa flavor in a slushy, summertime drink. This take on Serendipity 3‘s iconic drink features our Aztec Spiced Cocoa. Our signature hot cocoa mix delivers a warm, spicy twist from cayenne and cinnamon. We sell tons of Aztec Spiced Cocoa during the winter. Here’s a great reason to pull it out of the pantry on warm weather days!

Ingredients

  • 3 oz semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate

  • 2 heaping tsp Aztec Spiced Cocoa

  • 1 Tbl granulated sugar

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3 cups ice

  • whipped cream & shaved chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  • In a double boiler or microwave, melt the chocolate in a medium bowl. Note: Bittersweet chocolate is traditional; however, we used semi-sweet chocolate with great results. Kids may prefer the sweetness of the semi-sweet chocolate.
  • Stir the Aztec Spiced Cocoa, sugar and half of the milk into the melted chocolate until smooth.
  • Place the ice, remaining milk and chocolate mixture into a blender. Blend on high into a slushy, icy mixture. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and grated chocolate.
