Chile Crisp has achieved condiment fame. This trendy drizzle has historic roots in Chinese cuisine. The oil and crunchy bits of onion, garlic and sesame seeds are the perfect mashup of savory, spicy and umami flavors. Spoon Chile Crisp on grilled chicken or shrimp. Use it as a dumpling sauce. Perk up a noodle bowl. Drizzle it on a stir fry. Runny eggs? Yep. Drizzle it on those sunny-side ups. Oh, and don’t forget avocado toast! Once you taste it, you’ll find so many more ways to use it. Our make-your-own kit makes it even more fun. Get in the condiment game with this fun Chile Crisp Kit!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Use neutral oil to make the Chile Crisp. Avocado Oil is a great high-heat, flavorless oil. Pecan Oil or Grapeseed Oil would work well.
  • Pour the contents of the jar into a metal bowl.
  • Heat the oil over medium-high until very hot and shimmering or 300°F with an instant read thermometer.
  • Carefully, pour the oil over the contents in the metal bowl. The ingredients will sizzle and sputter. Stir and allow to cool completely.
  • Pour the cooled contents of the bowl back into the jar. Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to 6 months.
