SCHOOL CAFETERIA PIZZA

Ingredients

1 homemade or store bought pizza dough
Caramelized Onion Avocado Oil
1 1/3 cups pizza sauce
1 cup chopped pepperoni
1/2 lb ground beef
1 Tbl Pizza Seasoning
1 tsp salt
16 oz shredded mozzarella cheese

Square pizza. Lunchroom pizza. Rectangle pizza. Lunch lady pizza. No matter the name, this old school pizza brings up so many memories. Jokes aside, this pizza has Sicilian roots and is known as Grandma Pizza. Crispy thin crust with sauce, toppings and cheese spread to the edge – so good! Admit it. Pizza day was your favorite day at school.

Add this pizza to your rotation of weeknight sheet pan suppers. If you love the convenience of popping everything onto a sheet pan, the USA Pan is what you need. They’re strong, durable and nonstick. Perfect for this pizza!

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F. Drizzle Caramelized Onion Avocado Oil in a sheet pan. Press and stretch the dough to fill the sheet pan and over the oil.
2.In a skillet, cook the ground beef with Pizza Seasoning Blend and salt. Use a little oil to keep things moving. Cook until browned with no visible pink. Cool.
3.Spread the sauce over the crust to the edges. Layer on the cooked ground beef and pepperoni to the edges. Top with cheese.
4.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
5.We kept this version simple and cafeteria-style traditional, but toppings can be added and customized.
