Ingredients

3/4 cup plain full-fat yogurt
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup canola oil
3 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Bean Salt
1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Tbl British Cake Spice
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

Attention Great British Baking Show fans! Bake up this single layer snack cake and make Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood proud. Our British Cake Spice is the star of the show in this simple vanilla cake – we took a hop over the pond for the cake recipe: French Yogurt Cake! Moist and delicious. It’s the perfect snack for a binge watching sesh.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray a 8 inch round cake pan with nonstick spray. Line with parchment. Spray the parchment. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and British Cake Spice and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
2.In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, combine the yogurt, sugar, oil, eggs, salt and extract. Beat until smooth.
3.Pour dry ingredients into the mixer. Run the mixer on low just until the ingredients are incorporated and there are no dry streaks.
4.Pour batter into pan. Lift the pan off the counter a few inches and drop. Bake for 30 mins or until golden brown and skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
5.Cool in pan for 15 mins then turn out on a plate or board. Serve with berries and whipped cream. Or make a quick glaze with powdered sugar, milk and a little British Cake Spice.
