Shrub syrups are a non-alcoholic mixers made with fruit, vinegar, spices and aromatics. The vinegar component makes for a multi-layered sip. We had fun with Louisiana strawberries and our Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar. With this syrup tucked away in the fridge, the drink possibilities are endless!

1 cup sugar | |
1/4 cup Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar
3/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/3 cup Raspberry Patch Herbal Tea
Unflavored sparkling water |
1. | First, make the shrub syrup. Combine the strawberries, sugar, Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar and apple cider vinegar. Stir, cover and place in the fridge for 3 days. After 3 days, strain off the strawberries and discard. Store the shrub syrup in the fridge for up to 14 days. |
2. | Next, make the Raspberry Patch Herbal Tea. Place 1/3 cup Raspberry Patch in a pitcher of cold water. Cold steep for 8 hours or overnight. |
3. | To make the cocktail, make sure everything is cold. Add ice to a rocks glass and allow to sit for 5 minutes. Pour off the ice. Into the pre-chilled glass, pour 2 oz shrub syrup. Add Raspberry Patch tea until the glass is 3/4 full and top with sparkling water. Sip & enjoy! |
