minutesHot andouille dip is the ultimate comfort appetizer. The smoky, savory punch of the andouille delivers the bulk of the flavor in this cheesy dip. We use salt-free The Stuff seasoning blend as the perfect pairing for the smoky sausage. Brown the andouille then sauté the holy trinity of onion, celery and bell pepper directly in the pan drippings. Cheeses round out this bubbling and golden dish. Serve it warm with chips or toasted baguette and a garnish of fresh tomato.
Ingredients
1 small yellow onion, diced
1/2 red or yellow bell pepper, diced
1 rib celery, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup white wine
8 oz cream cheese
1 lb andouille sausage, diced
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 Tbl The Stuff Blend
1 bunch green onions, sliced
Fresh diced tomato and sliced scallion for garnish
Tortilla or corn chips, toasted baguette rounds or pita chips
Instructions
- In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, drizzle in Caramelized Onion Avocado Oil to cover the bottom. Add in the andouille and saute until browned and very crispy. Move to a plate.
- Add the onion, bell pepper and celery to the skillet. Saute until softened and beginning to brown, about 5 mins. Add in the garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add the wine. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook until it’s evaporated.
- Return the andouille to the pan and add The Stuff seasoning blend, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese. Cook on low until the cheese is melted and the cream cheese is incorporated. Stir in the green onion.
- When ready to serve, run under the broiler to brown the top. Serve with tortilla or corn chips, toasted baguette rounds or crackers.
