Hearty oats are a great way to start the day. Warm, comforting Chai Spiced Oatmeal is delicious and will fill your kitchen with the heady aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Top with berries, bananas, nuts and a sprinkling of brown sugar. A great day indeed!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 cups water

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 2 tsp Chai Spice Blend

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Puree

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • Berries, bananas, nuts and brown sugar for topping

Instructions

  • Bring the water and salt to a simmer. Stir in the oats and allow to simmer for 1 minute. Reduce the heat and cover. Cook for 7 minutes. Lift the lid and add in 1/4 cup milk, 2 Tbl sugar, Vanilla Puree and Chai Spice. Stir and turn off the heat. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with berries, bananas, nuts and brown sugar.
