1/2 shallot, minced
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp honey
1 tsp Zahtar Blend
1/3 cup Champagne Pear Balsamic
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt to taste

Middle eastern, sumac-rich Zahtar is a crunchy, herby all-purpose spice blend. We use it as a topping, bread dipping blend and seasoning for chicken, fish and vegetables. It’s also excellent in a vinaigrette. Drizzle this dressing on tomato-cucumber salads, shrimp skewers or to marinate feta. A rich and different departure from everyday vinaigrettes.


1.In a bowl or jar, combine the shallot, mustard, honey, Zahtar Blend, Balsamic Vinegar and lemon. Whisk or shake until well combined. Gradually drizzle in the olive oil, whisking constantly, until incorporated.
2.Allow the vinaigrette to sit for 5 minutes before tasting. Taste and adjust with salt or more Zahtar blend.
