Round-Up: Toast

At Red Stick Spice, we love toast. If we could, we would eat toast for breakfast, lunch, dinner. It’s a national treasure. For our fellow toast devotees, here’s a round-up. So, tell us, how do you toast?

Open Faced Avocado Sandwiches with Lemon Avocado Oil

Open Faced Avocado Sandwiches with Lemon Avocado Oil
Open-faced Avocado Sandwich? That’s sounds a whole lot like avocado toast. This recipe’s name is a mouthful and it results in quite the mouthful. A delicious on at that! Sometimes the simplest ingredients make the most memorable dishes. This sandwich is no exception. Ripe avocado, Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fleur de Sel, black pepper and whole grain bread. It doesn’t get much more simple. Or delicious.

Seeded Honey Peach Goat Cheese Toast

Seeded Honey Peach Goat Cheese Toast
Whether it’s brioche, seeded bread or sprouted bread, pop it in the toaster! Whipped goat cheese forms the base, and it’s topped with summertime fresh peaches. We grabbed our Dukkah – a toasted nut and seed topping – and combined it with Honey for a crunchy-sweet drizzle. Snack, breakfast or Afternoon Tea – this toast ticks the “all of the above” box.

Cauliflower Toast

Cauliflower Toast
Ina Garten never lets us down. That’s why we teach Barefoot Contessa Inspired Cooking Classes in our Teaching Kitchen. These cauliflower toasts are a great example of Ina’s approach: simplicity meets big flavors. We bring in our Salt-n-Pepa blend to season the cauliflower and Shallot Extra Virgin Olive Oil for an aromatic punch. This dish makes a fantastic weeknight supper with a salad or a fun starter for a dinner party. Trust us, Ina would approve.

Crostini with Goat Cheese and Fig Balsamic
Crostini? Is this toast? Fig Balsamic is both yummy and beautiful with little flecks of fig dotting this sweet, syrupy vinegar. For this quick app, we whipped up goat cheese with a bit of crunchy, salty Sel Gris and sliced a baguette. Super simple. Complexly delicious. Have this at the ready for your next impromptu cocktail hour!

Caprese Toast

Caprese Toast
We took all that’s good about Caprese Salad and put it on toast! Roasted cherry tomatoes top fresh basil and creamy mozzarella. fresh herbs from the garden, the bite of fresh mozzarella and juicy roasted cherry tomatoes that burst with flavor. Our Slow Roasted Tomatoes with Basil & Balsamic perfectly top this toast. Great for snacking or as a delicious lunch. We finished off this delicious snack with a salty crunch from Fleur de Sel. So satisfying!

Caramelized Pineapple Ricotta Toast
