We love a holiday tradition, and a cookie swap tops the list. Gather friends and family to share an assortment of homemade cookies. Participants bring a batch and take home a mixed batch of goodies – don’t forget to include the recipe! Ready for some cookie swap inspo? Here are ten of our faves for feasting during the holiday season.

1- Peanut Butter Miso Cookies

Sweet and salty. A sugar-studded crunchy bite. All with a umami edge. A tiny bit of heat. These cookies really deliver. The rich miso adds tons of depth taking this class PB cookie to new, adventurous places. Ginger Sugar encases the cookies for the perfect zing. Perfect for a cookie swap. A must for a late-night snack.

2- Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

We love Cup4Cup’s™ Multipurpose Flour. It’s the perfect substitution for all-purpose flour in most any recipe – including these cookies! Cup4Cup has a neutral flavor that won’t change the taste of your favorite recipes. For this cookie, dark brown sugar lends a delicious chew and provide the backdrop for melty dark chocolate chunks. Grab a glass of milk. It’s time for cookie dunking!

3- Rosemary Thumbprint Cookies with Cranberry Sauce

Leftover Cranberry Sauce meets crisp, buttery shortbread, studded with fresh rosemary. Only slightly sweet with little bites of salt, this day-after-Thanksgiving snack eats more like a savory nibble than a cookie. Use our Bourbon Vanilla Cranberry Sauce or Ginger Pear Cranberry Sauce for the filling – both work well with the buttery-herby cookie.

4- Dirty Chai Earthquake Cookies

This fun twist on classic crinkle cookies melds rich espresso with our Chai Spice. The bold, aromatic dough is rolled in powdered sugar so that they crackle and crumble as they bake. The delightful, spiced exterior encases a soft, pillowy center. Perfect for coffee lovers, cookie lovers and chai lovers. That’s a lot of love!

5- Dulce de Leche Cookies

Dulce de Leche Cookies or Alfajores are found throughout Spain, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. These delicate, sandwich cookies feature crumbly layers with a luscious dulce de leche filling. We leaned on convenient, canned dulce de leche for the filling and upped the salt a tad in the dough to offset the sweetness. We love the crunchy bite of our Baker’s Salt for baking for highlighting flavors and textures.

6- Butter Spritz Cookies

Buttery and crisp, these spritz cookies are the stuff of childhood memories. Making them, baking them and, of course, eating them! Cookie presses have come a long way, and the OXO Press is the best of the bunch. Easy to load, press and clean, we love the simplicity of this press. Oh, and a few more of our favorite things? Rich Tahitian Cookie VanillaBaker’s Salt, never-fail USA Pan Half Sheet Pans and a supply of Baking Parchment. Stock up on them all, and you are ready for a big holiday cookie baking sesh!

7- Moravian Spice Cookies

We had a blast researching retro holiday recipes for our 2022 Digital Holiday Lookbook: Vintage. Our time machine took us directly to this recipe for deliciously crisp, delectably spiced cookies that are perfect for tea time. Or any time. Like right now. These classic Moravian Spice Cookies taste 100% modern and feature our British Cake Spice, loaded with warm cinnamon and studded with clove.

8- Cocoon Cookies

These cookies go by many names: Sand Tarts, Mexican Wedding Cookies, Russian Butternut, Snowflake, Russian Tea Cake, Viennese Snowball. No matter the name, these cookies are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We bring in Vanilla and Almond goodness with a pair of extracts. A salty bite of French Sel Gris helps point all the buttery, nutty flavors in the right direction.

9- Pecan Shortbread with Salted Dark Chocolate Drizzle

There’s something about the snap of a shortbread that makes us so happy. These buttery cookies are studded with rich pecans and enhanced with our Pure Maple Extract. Enjoy them with a cup of coffee or tea. Or a big glass of ice cold milk. Don’t forget to give them a dunk in our Salted Dark Chocolate Sauce.

Peppermint Brownie Christmas Trees

10- Peppermint Brownie Christmas Trees

Baking these brownies is a round cake pan makes for easy cutting into triangles. We doubled down on the minty flavor with our Peppermint Extract. A candy cane tree trunk is the finishing touch.
