minutesFragrant Jasmine rice meets a few simple pantry staples – including our Ginger Garlic Toasted Sesame Oil – and the result is far from simplistic. This rice is all about big, complex flavors and textures. Perfect for eating on its own. We love it in a grain bowl. Serve it alongside our Sesame Tuna with Ponzu. The list goes on. You might need to make another pot!
Ingredients
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbl butter
1 tsp salt
1 cup Jasmine rice
1 Tbl soy sauce
2 cups water
2 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
Sliced scallion, for garnish
Instructions
- Set a pot with a tight-fitting lid over medium heat. Add in the butter and garlic. Saute the garlic for 2 mins. Add in the rice and salt. Saute until the rice is coated with butter and the mixture is fragrant – about 2 mins.
- Add in the soy sauce and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce to low and place the lid on the pot.
- Turn off the heat after 15 minutes. Leave the lid on the pot for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and fluff the rice with a fork. Drizzle in the sesame oil and sesame seeds and gently fluff again.
- Serve warm with sliced scallions.
